L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Review

Let me just start by saying I love L’Oreal. My last review was also on a L’Oreal product and I think they’ve really been stepping up their product lines as of late.  Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of people talk about their new mascara L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise. I had to try it out for myself.

The packaging is super cute. The product is in a rose gold tube with gold accents. Each tube has 8.5 ml or 0.28 fl oz. The packaging is very simple but still attractive.

I like so many things about this mascara. It is very inexpensive and easily accessible. I found mine at Wal-Mart  for about 11$. You can find this at most drugstores though. It was very lengthening and I found it very easy to coat all of my top lashes, even the shorter ones.  I usually prefer rubber wands, but I liked the shape of this wand for my upper lashes. It wasn’t too big and was easy to manage. I have the formula that is not waterproof. It doesn’t smudge but comes off like a dream at the end of the day.

Despite the decent price, it is a more expensive mascara at the drugstore. My favourite drugstore mascara is the Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara from Essence and is only about 6$ at Ulta. I find the wand too big on the  l’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara to coat the bottom lashes. It is possible, but I’ve made a huge mess doing it. I love the effect of this mascara after one or two coats, but more than that and it starts to get a bit clumpy.

I’ve heard people comparing this to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Although I have tried the Better Than Sex Mascara extensively, I do think that the L’Oreal mascara does give a similar effect at a fraction of the price. They definitely have very similar wands, but since I’m not too familiar with Better Than Sex, I don’t know if the formula is a for sure dupe.
